‘It means less people will miss out, but completely defeats the point releasing another show’ – the latest on the MCR UK shows

So many of you will have noticed that MCR are BACK, and the UK are finally getting their chance to see Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Ray Toro and Frank Iero take to the stage together! You would think this would mean smiles all round? Nah, not for some people. We found some of the ‘pros and cons’ of ANOTHER My Chemical Romance date in Milton Keynes, and collated them all together for you to see.

One thing that seems to be rubbing a lot of people up the wrong way is the fact that the three shows were not just all announced at once. There is an argument that this would have meant ‘less hassle’ for the fans, however we think it was simply a strategic marketing plot  to enable constant hype and interest around the subject matter. And off the back of this, a lot of fans who got tickets for the Saturday (Em being one – she doesn’t get out much so she wanted a little man about something) are somewhat annoyed that they will NOT be attending the first MCR UK show post reunion. It is only human nature to be a little bit gutted, but in the grand scheme of things, the more shows there are, the more fans will get to see the band; but also the more touts who can get hold of tickets with the prime intention of selling for profit.

One user said in a comment thread on Reddit (we will leave them anonymous but we are sure they didn’t mean to cause offence) ‘It means less people will miss out, but completely defeats the point releasing another show‘, which is a controversial statement to say the least.

Another theme we have found? People complaining because the newly released show is on a weekday. Granted, people may work during the week or have some kind of education to attend, but people really are grasping at straws with this one.

We have covered the ones that we feel are the main ‘issues’ which people have highlighted regarding the whole MCR UK (what has turned into a) mini tour, and we just want to highlight that the tickets for the newest date are on sale this Thursday at 09:30am. And just a reminder, please refer to Em’s article regarding how to buy tickets safely and how to spot the scammers.
